Review: I wish that Nokia would put as much effort into software as they put into hardware. The phone is magnificent, the software less so.
First of all, the menus are not very intuitive. I spent a lot of time searching Google to find out how to do some basic things like changing ringtones, etc.
Second, the software included with it is not always the best. The email program is inferior, but you can download Nokia mail and it works great (why did they not include it). Then you can download OVI maps and get a subscription to voice guided navigation for less than the cost of your annual Magellan upgrade. The web browser is not that good but Opera Mini works better. If you want to Twitter, you can download Gravity for a "tweeter" experience. Then there is Joiku which lets you use your E-71 as a wireless router. etc. etc.
It can also be a bit of a challenge to set up things like internet phone calling. Again, a trip to the web boards helped with this.
The phone is smaller than I expected, but is really nice to hold, not huge like some of those other devices.
All in all, this phone has been worth every penny in terms of productivity and would not trade this for any other phone. I can see where some people might be frustrated trying to set it up, but in the end it is definitely worth the effort.
